St. Mary's International school was founded by Mr. Gerald Lobo and Mrs. Maria D'Souza and operates under
the leadership of Mr Renee Mendonca as Principal.
Mr Gerald Lobo
Founder, Director
Gerald Lobo comes from three decades of experience in the education field. Growing up parents who were both teachers, Gerald captured the vision to build an educational institution. He began St Mary’s School as a small state board institution which later grew to a group of schools under ICSE and ISC as well. He believes that education is the most important tool required to create positive change in our country.
Mrs. Maria D'Souza
Academic Director
Starting her career journey as a math teacher, Maria captured the vision and passion for education 23 years ago. She believes strongly in quality and consistency in education which she brings to SMIS. She also propagates the concept of education beyond just academics, by mentoring faculty in activity based learning.
Mr Rennie Joseph Mendonce
Principal
Mr Rennie Joseph Mendonce boasts an illustrious 37-year journey in the realm of education. His career commenced in 1987 as a dedicated educator, and in 2002, he ascended to the role of Principal at the prestigious JSS International School, Ooty, under the aegis of the renowned JSS group. In 2015, he transitioned to Mysuru, assuming leadership of the Police Public School. With over two decades of leadership experience, Mr. Mendonce fervently advocates for a holistic approach to education, where academic excellence is harmonized with co-curricular and extracurricular pursuits, fostering well-rounded individuals.
